The news report said they were Christians. I didn't realize they were Yazidi, and actually had never even heard of Yazidi until MTD mentioned, and then I looked them up. Apparently Yazidi are a group of people who have combined just about every religion in the world, including Islam and Christianity into one.

Regardless of who these people are, we need to pray for them. The series of events happening in Iraq is showing exactly how these militant people think, and that their greatest desire is to take this kind of warfare to American soil.

Not even sure if that is their GREATEST desire.
I imagine their GREATEST desire is more intense than bloodshed.

After all, islam is a religion of peace.

They have a motivation-- bloodshed is their means to get their desire.
