That is a sign of your false doctrine being acknowledged by yourselves. You know that tithing is false doctrine and you just dont care. This is not about me....this is going to cost you eternity without God.

You guys have done business with Satan all of your Christian lives and whenever you die, you will follow him to a place of torment.

There is no place for heretical teachers in heaven. You better fix it while you are on earth.
NO.

You're way out of line Sean. Way out.

You have no right to tell people who trust in Christ as their Savior they are going to hell over misunderstanding a doctrine. Will some tithe preachers go to hell? Undoubtedly. Will it be because they were misinformed about tithing? Doubtful. Those who teach the tithe and are lost will likely be so because of greed, covetousness, and the fact they were never regenerated by the Spirit to begin with.

Many people really have little understanding or confidence in the grace of God. Tis not grace to continue in sin or not repent, but His grace will cover our ignorance. We're all wrong about something doctrinally. Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ. Not doctrinal accuracy on non essentials.

And you will find few people more vocal than I against tithing. No need for the types of things you're saying Sean.

Jason, did Paul teach that grace covers false teaching, or did he go after it and correct it immediately?

False teachers must be reprimanded and after a few warnings, considered HERETICS. I have been debating and admonishing some of then for 18 months now. They need to hear the real truth of what this wretched Catholic doctrine is doing to mankind and their own selves. They are no different than other religions that get the Holy Ghost and CONTINUE in error.

Paul would have cleaned their clock if he were here today.

I've always given a tithe on my earnings. While it was an Old Testament principle that God invented, it seemed to be a good principle in the new also. Nobody ever forced, coerced, or threatened hell fire if I didn't offer tithes. It just seemed to me an excellent principle for financing the work of the ministry. I always felt honored to give my tithe, and gave it reverently, as unto the Lord. And I always trembled for the man of God, that he was now accountable for the use of those funds, in the work of the kingdom.

Besides the tithe, I have also had the privilage of giving to several building funds, Sunday Schools, and missions programs. None of them by force, but freely and most reverently. What a great God I serve...that he would allow me in some small way, to contribute to his mighty work.

To now learn that I'm gonna split hell wide open...and that eradicating such worship has become my Lord's top priority, is a little unsettling. Are you sure you didn't have a wrong number, when my Lord talked to you about this?
I'm happy that you were never "forced" to give tithes or made to feel guilty about giving. I believe Sean's beef is how some preachers make it out to be a heaven or hell issue and are willing to pray a curse on their congregation.

I also appreciate you mentioning that the ministry is now accountable for what is given. Shame on churches who's budget doesn't include outreach, donating to local charities, foreign missions, helping the needy in the church (benevolence fund), etc. If a church is just getting by and 95% of what comes in is for operations and salary, then there is something wrong with our priorities.
