This looks more like a front group for jihad. IDC (In Defense of Christians) - Really? These people are Christians?

This document is the Christian Palestinians’ word to the world about what is happening in Palestine. It is written at this time when we wanted to see the Glory of the grace of God in this land and in the sufferings of its people. In this spirit the document requests the international community to stand by the Palestinian people who have faced oppression, displacement, suffering and clear apartheid for more than six decades. The suffering continues while the international community silently looks on at the occupying State, Israel. Our word is a cry of hope, with love, prayer and faith in God. We address it first of all to ourselves and then to all the churches and Christians in the world, asking them to stand against injustice and apartheid, urging them to work for a just peace in our region, calling on them to revisit theologies that justify crimes perpetrated against our people and the dispossession of the land.

These are your fellow Christians in Palestine. They are not speaking up against their muslim neighbors, they are speaking up against their occupiers.

I suggest you read about the "great" land of Israel before you speak up against the group who boo'd Cruz off of that stage. He deserved it.

You might want to notice that the President of Defense of Christians, Toufic Baaklini, stated that there were people present "who do not adhere to IDC's principles."

They deserved to be flushed out and deserved for Senator Ted Cruz to walk out on them. We now have a man who is not afraid to take a stand against opposition.

"It's no secret that many Mideast Christians generally aren't big fans of Israel. I learned this firsthand during the 2006 Israel war on Hezbollah, when my discussion at church with a Lebanese Christian nearly escalated to a shouting match," Mark Tooley, president of the Institute of Religion and Democracy and an attendee of the evening event, wrote in a blog entry that he was not surprised by the reaction.

No they aren't. Because there are two sets of laws - one for Jews and one for non-Jews. "Equal protection under the law" is non-existent and Christians in Israel, though they do nothing, are subject to continuous and ongoing harassment that you and your ministers don't talk about and we do not understand why. Your fellow Christians are FINALLY filming and sharing how they are treated there.

We badly need a president who will return our country back to the principles in our Constitution. We should not support countries and governments who do not follow our basis principles.

Slow, hidden extinction of a people who have lived there for thousands of years. Do you believe this is OK? Do you support these policies? Do you want America becomes a place where you can call your neighbor a whore and tell your neighbor to 'get into their cage' and you can spray graffiti on your neighbor's property because they are different from you and you want them out so you can take their home? Will America be a better place? Is it right for our country to support these policies? Fund them? We send $400 per year for every man, woman, and child in Israel for them to practice these policies.

That is why Cruz got boo'd. He deserved it. There is graphic video of Christians being cursed, spit on, and Jesus being cursed on Israeli streets. You search for it and find it and watch it then ask yourself if you support these policies and treatment of others.

Re: It's Time To Draft Ted Cruz for President

Walks, He wasn't at the meeting to ignore Christians being persecuted in the Middle East. That is what the meeting was about.

"I didn't want to cede the discussion to the extremes," Cruz said. "If we simply stay away and allow those who are defending radical Islamic terrorist groups to dominate the conversation, I don't think that's the right thing to do."

He stood up to those 20% in the audience who support Hezbollah. The President of IDC acknowledged they were there and their voices were louder.

He is not going to side with people who only talk about Christians being persecuted when they are blatantly anti-semitic.

You can't blame the WHOLE country of Israel on what some selected videos show anymore than you can do that with scattered bigotry in America.

More and more evidence is coming to light that shows Israel as a racist, bigoted society on a path of ethnic and religious cleansing. Being critical of their policies used to be dismissed and branded "anti-Semitism". Can you brand this group "anti-Semitic"? These are Jewish holocaust survivors and their descendants and this is what they have to say on Israeli policy towards their neighbors:

http://ijsn.net/gaza/survivors-and-descendants-letter/

http://ijsn.net/press-release-jewish...stice-in-gaza/

As Jewish survivors and descendants of survivors and victims of the Nazi genocide we unequivocally condemn the massacre of Palestinians in Gaza and the ongoing occupation and colonization of historic Palestine. We further condemn the United States for providing Israel with the funding to carry out the attack, and Western states more generally for using their diplomatic muscle to protect Israel from condemnation. Genocide begins with the silence of the world.

We are alarmed by the extreme, racist dehumanization of Palestinians in Israeli society, which has reached a fever-pitch. In Israel, politicians and pundits in The Times of Israel and The Jerusalem Post have called openly for genocide of Palestinians and right-wing Israelis are adopting Neo-Nazi insignia.

Furthermore, we are disgusted and outraged by Elie Wiesel’s abuse of our history in these pages to justify the unjustifiable: Israel’s wholesale effort to destroy Gaza and the murder of more than 2,000 Palestinians, including many hundreds of children. Nothing can justify bombing UN shelters, homes, hospitals and universities. Nothing can justify depriving people of electricity and water.

We must raise our collective voices and use our collective power to bring about an end to all forms of racism, including the ongoing genocide of Palestinian people. We call for an immediate end to the siege against and blockade of Gaza. We call for the full economic, cultural and academic boycott of Israel. “Never again” must mean NEVER AGAIN FOR ANYONE
!

Some specific comments and who they were from:

Hajo Meyer, a survivor of Auschwitz and the initial signatory to the letter expressed outrage at the racism coming out of Israel. “The dehumanization of Jews is what made possible the Nazi genocide. In the same way, we are witnessing the escalating dehumanization of Palestinians in Israeli society,”

Raphael Cohen, grandson of survivors who lives in the United States, called on people to take action to demand justice for Palestinians. “It is my own government paying for this violence. When governments won’t do what’s right, individuals and communities must speak out. That’s why I support the Palestinian call for boycott, divestment, and sanctions.”

You and Cruz can side with Israel. I believe I'll side with these folks. Cruz deserved to be boo'd.

Yes, we take note that you sided with the people booing - Hezbollah.

"Religious bigotry is a cancer with many manifestations. ISIS, Al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas, and their state sponsors like Syria and Iran, are all engaged in a vicious genocidal campaign to destroy religious minorities in the Middle East," Cruz spoke out.

"Sometimes we are told not to lump these groups together, that we have to understand their so-called nuances and differences," he continued. "But we shouldn't try to parse different manifestations of evil that are on murderous rampage through the region. Hate is hate and murder is murder."

Your post would make a lot more sense if my post was about Hezbollah. It wasn't. It was about survivors of the Holocaust who are calling for a blockade on Israel until their policies towards their neighbors change.

Murder sure is murder. Saw this kid's father on Al-Jazeera. He opened his son's bookbag, held up the book, opened it, and showed where the bullet stopped.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/vid...hot-dead-video

Passed right through that kid, into his bookbag, and stopped in his schoolbooks. Didn't see that kid doing anything on camera but walking down the street.

Israeli government investigated this. Said it was a rubber bullet.

You side with Cruz and these murderers if you want to. You forget that Hezbollah started in open-air camps that house 1,000,000 displaced people behind walls of rock and barbed wire.

Those used to be called concentration camps.

Video released via the human rights organisation Defence for Children International (DCI) shows two Palestinian teenagers being killed during a protest in Beitunia. DCI has accused Israeli troops of unlawful killing as it claims the video shows neither boy posed an immediate danger.

I don't side with people who round up other people in concentration camps and I don't side with politicians who side with them either. You side with Cruz and the concentration camp running murderers he supports, I'll stick with folks like DCI. Now you both deserve to be boo'd.
