Why would you say that?

I had a great great uncle who had 7 children. He WAS'NT APOSTOLIC, but hard shell Baptist. He owned a lot of land. He gave each child a portion of land, his house sat right in the middle and his children lived all around him. He said"I can go out on the porch and holler and have all my kids and gran kids here in a minute"

Just seems weird . . .

I understand it may have been common back in the day. But it makes me think of Waco, Fred Phelps and other wacky "close" families.

LOL! I could not disagree more!

I am with Whole Hearted on this one. if there is good work and the different families can thrive, then I think it is wonderful that they are close.

If I could find the kind of work I do, and live close to my parents, I would move in a heartbeat.
