i think the phrase "last days," which Christ indicated they were in even in His time, has been misinterpreted. Anyone who is mortal is in their "last days."

Something to consider.... it was the last days of an age and era. The WORLD in Matt 24 is literally EON or AGE. T he biggest change of eras was the Old Covenant to the New. An age was ending with the temple and so on, to give way for the church as the true temple of God. A holy habitation built up by God not man.
