Let me give you the link to the transcript and quote this part - purely political on her part:

"Last, but certainly not least, to the youth of this city, I will seek justice on your behalf. This is a moment. This is your moment."

More troubling is that the lawyer representing Gray also donated to her campaign for State Attorney. And her husband is on the City Council.
That's not troubling at all. That's called inner city politics. The world of Baltimore politics is very small.

State Attorney Gray is a democratically elected and competent official. I will give her the same respect as I gave the Bob McCullough. As should you.

It should be assumed she will be fair and partial unless a situation comes up that proves otherwise.

"Last, but certainly not least, to the youth of this city, I will seek justice on your behalf. This is a moment. This is your moment. Let’s ensure that we have peaceful and productive rallies that will develop structural and systemic changes for generations to come. You’re at the forefront of this cause. And as young people, our time is now."

I will wait for that situation to arise, because it will. She responded way too quickly, rushing to judgment and filing criminal charges. By her words, which I have quoted, I highly suspect they were politically motivated. There was no fairness in her words today. She is supposed to be "blind" to these type of words and perception as a state attorney.

And there are going to be problems in places like Baltimore being that blacks comprise 65% of the population and commit 85% of the crimes. That's pretty much the stats in most inner cities.

Don't give me excuses when you have Condi Rice, Colin Powell, Ben Carson, Chief Justice Clarence Thomas, Mia Love, Oprah, Obama, Thomas Sowell, George Washington Carver, Sen. Tim Scott and many others who have become successful, not using excuses but working hard.

1. Let's remember first that she is a PROSECUTOR. In this case she will not be representing the cops she will be representing the City of Baltimore. From the point of indictment until the ruling is handed down "partiality" is out the window. Her job is to prosecute this case with the same passion and fervency as she would any other. I'm pleased that she is.

2. I never once "made an excuse" for anyone. Peoples lives however are far more complex then statistics and political theories. There is a dynamic culture in this society that tells black youths that they fit into this mold. This culture is a product of drug culture. Many of these youths live in societies where the family unit is so destroyed, that they have no guidance. There's an entire generation of inner city youths with no fathers and drug addicted mothers. What on Earth do we do with them? Some will get out. While there are these inner city kids there are suburban black kids just 20 miles away in the DC metro area that love lives far more "privileged" then most white kids. Once YOU and yes I said YOU stop falling into the same Sharptonian trap of being race baited and see this through the eyes of a 21st century American you'll grasp hold to the fact that this is far less about race and more about where you live, who you know, and what you know and the break down of morality and the family. Sharpton is stuck in the 80s and is as irrelevant as anyone. The issue at hand is there are whole communities in inner cities that look like war zones. Personal responsibility has a part but so does culture and horrific policies imposed by dems and reps a like. These issues are far more complex then "Carson, Obama, and Oprah are millionaires why can't you be too?" But nice try....

Excuse me, but she came across as an activist more than anything. She is NOT partial in this case.

Just looking at it from an investigative point - How could the forensics be in yet? She would also have to read through countless pages of investigative reports. There is no way she could have all that.

Her whole deal today was crowd control and had nothing to do with justice. She is trying to lower the temperature, having nothing to do with justice, and also possibly overcharging to get a plea. This whole thing is turning into a mess. I personally feel she overplayed her hand today. I also believe they will remove her as prosecutor and make a move to change the venue.

She is also doing the same thing that Angela Cory did in Florida - overplaying her hand, getting herself an acquittal.

I agree that people's lives are more complex then statistics and political theories. I wish more people were as bold as Gov. Bobby Jindal, who after being sued by this Administration regarding school choice, fought back and won for the citizens in his state. His school system is doing great and no one should touch it.

As far as me falling into the Sharpton trap of being race baited, you better turn around and look at the background that the Major of Baltimore was standing in front of when she declared that she would get justice for Freddie Grey. Yes, that is right, in front of the National Action Network (NAN) - standing with Al Sharpton. That's his in-the-red non-profit.
