Here's the dirty little secret. The powers that be want advertising for this very purpose. Its not about evangelism. It's about a revenue source.

I doubt most of the ads would have anything about offerings or other donations. Why would they? Most of the churches advertised around here simply show the service schedule, directions and maybe a short synopsis of their various ministries. Nothing about money . . . so forbidding or making a rule against it isn't needed IMO.

Friend, there is a reason the name of Harvestime was changed to Media Missions. I have heard many discussions from high-ranking execs about the financial boon tv ads will bring.

And remember, I'm for the resolution. I just think they see dollar signs
