1 dollar of US money is too much.. because it is our taxes funding someone else dreams and ambitions.
I don't think the government should be handing out money BUT if they do take care of needy people at home before you start handing cash out to kids in the neighborhood.
Oh and it always, I mean ALWAYS backfires on us in the end. TOO many examples to list.

But if Israel is our ally then we should be able to help that ally, and anytime we get in trouble they will return the favor. So, it works both ways.

That's the theory, anyway.

Yeah, that's the theory. Israel really never went with us into any of our armed conflicts (not that I know of maybe someone could present the needed information) yet, the United States has had to scold Israel for Israel's sale of sensitive security equipment and technology to various countries, especially the People's Republic of China.
Maybe modern Israel is more like the United State's Dennis the Menace?
Everyone feels some sort of obligation to protect the little lad, hear his apologies, and then within the next minute he gets in more trouble, yet when pressed he tearfully and apologetically reminds us it really isn't his fault.

Re: Is supprt for israel really required (V)
Now, please keep in mind that the majority of the room which Senator Ted Cruz is addressing are Eastern Orthodox, Eastern Catholic, and Protestants from different countries in the Middle East. If you listen closely not only to the speaker, but to the audience, you will hear where the audience agrees with the senator and where they disagreed with the senator. Frankly he didn't expect the reaction he received when he made his comments. The senator from Texas, was only use to speaking to Christians who hold beliefs similar to his own, and never engaged Christians who live in the Middle East. Also the senator didn't really display what I loved in another video where he allowed open dialogue to those who heckled him. But this time just took his bat and ball then left the stage with a "if you don't stand with Israel, then I don't stand with you" sayonara.
So, if you believe the Israel issue isn't a religious situation but a solely a political situation, then the Texas senator doesn't stand with you either.
