Re: Some standing here
Look guys......
Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign (1st) of the Son of man in heaven: and then(2nd)) shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

It does not say they will see Him bodily, Bowas?
Bowas, it has the sign 1st, then the Messiah is seen!(not the sign of him only)

Sean. You do understand Biblical imagery, right? To that culture, what did that phrase, "coming in or with clouds" mean according to scripture? Allow scripture to interpret scripture.
Isa 19:1 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD RIDETH UPON A SWIFT "CLOUD", and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.
Jer 4:13 Behold, he shall COME UP AS CLOUDS, and his chariots shall be as a whirlwind: his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe unto us! for we are spoiled.
Jer 4:14 O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?
Just a couple. Please show me any reference to the Lord coming on or with clouds where anyone physically "saw" Him. Just one will suffice.

Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Sorry, no cloud reference here, but the same instance as.....
...... shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

You are using a vision using imagery. I was trying for a scripture showing where in any prior coming in clouds that He was visibly or physically seen.
As was pointed out, this is obvious imagery as the sword coming out of His mouth.
Point still is, Coming in or with clouds, as per the scriptures I presented is consistent language understood at that time.
Care to comment on the verses I presented showing what "coming in or on clouds" means in the Bible?
