the beast is not the antichrist, it is just a sci-fi, beast, rising out of the sea.
Rev 13:2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
And the dragon is not Satan, just a dragon with magical powers, hey I kind of like this literal stuff, because it can never happen. Unless aliens come out of the sky.

Loren, here you go making fun of the passage of the sacred book to attempt to make a preterist point.
Can't you see what you were trained to do by those that taught you this stuff?
This is how they do it.(Attack the source jokingly, and re-think it)

Re: Replacement Theology Man Highlights
Man, you preterists need to repent...you have a BAD(trained) habit of mocking the sacred words of the book of Revelation.
I have witnessed it innumerable times.

Thank your for clearing that up for me.
Now stop using metaphors in that book and read the signs.....
Like this.....11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Heaven is a sign of heaven, not the temple.
Earth is a sign of earth, not the Jews.

I'm saying you are the one who used the word metaphor LONG AFTER we said signs. Metaphors are certain kinds of signs. But we always said SIGNS.

Mike, you say all kinds of stuff, but use nonstop metaphors, when explaining Revelations.
You know....
Earth= Jews
Heaven=the Law
Tree of Life= people
New Jerusalem City=people
River of Life=Spirit
etc.

Again that is not what a metaphor is. Read the definition you quoted and correct your misunderstanding.

Re: Replacement Theology Man Highlights
Sean this is not a metaphor. But look what Jesus said.
John 7:37-39 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. (38) He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (39) (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
Explain why John said the living waters are the Spirit.

A metaphor is speaking of something, but meaning something else .
met·a·phor
ˈmedəˌfôr,ˈmedəˌfər/
noun
a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable.
"“I had fallen through a trapdoor of depression,” said Mark, who was fond of theatrical metaphors"
synonyms: figure of speech, image, trope, analogy, comparison, symbol, word painting/picture
"the profusion of metaphors in her everyday speech has gotten pretty tiresome"
a thing regarded as representative or symbolic of something else, especially something abstract.

Jesus called the Holy Spirit, "LIVING WATERS"(as described).....
It is life giving SPIRITUAL water.
It is real, SPIRIT water, not abstract.(metaphor)
It makes you speak in tongues when it flows out of your belly.

Re: Replacement Theology Man Highlights
Maybe you preterists think that the Spirit world is abstract(not tangible reality)?
