It is rather shocking that a church of this size would be affiliated anyway. Not many big ones are.

It is reliable that the church is going to vote on the issue. Who knows what the outcome will be? The pastor is staying with the org.

If the pastor is staying with the org. then I am surprised that the DS and someone from HQ would try to disuade the church. They don't have much of a leg to stand on since most major churches are not affiliated.
