My issue is the emphasis on the NAME over the person of Jesus Christ. This is an issue with Oneness Pentecostals in general (not all, of course) but you're taking it a step further. Scripture bears out that the name is important, of course. Of course. But all these semantics about what he was called in Hebrew do nothing to point us toward our Savior. And you might even find the wrong guy and start worshipping him in your quest to find a hebrew name.
The reason I wrote in Spanish is to show that it does make a difference how a name is spelled and pronounced.

the name goes to the identity and culture of the person.

By writing in Spanish really meant nothing.

It doesn't prove your case. You my dear friend and brother are walking this road in Sacred Name footwear.

because his name is sacred, the Bible says it is.

Exodus 33:19 The Lord answered, “I will make all my splendor pass before you and in your presence I will pronounce my sacred name.

Leviticus 22:32 “You are not to defile my sacred name, because I’ve been set apart in the midst of the Israelis.

Ezekiel 20:39 and you won’t profane my sacred name again by your offerings and idols.

FZ can speak Spanish and is a translator of Spanish.

I just feel that my brother is missing a bigger picture that the whole Yeshua, Yahshua, Yehosua, and Yahavahshua issue really points towards.

OK, so then the BAD transliteration isn't sacred.

it is, but only because it is referring to him.

the name of God is holy only when it is exclusively referring to him, not when it refers to someone else.

A transliteration is an attempt to duplicate a name in another language, but it is hardly perfect because every language has its own sounds, syntax and grammar that are difficult to translate perfectly into another language.

you can have your original birth certificate or a copy and both of them are recognized as legitimate, but only one is the original, the other is just a copy, but it is not the original.

Re: Calling on the Name of Jesus (at baptism)

Why didn't the apostles teach Greeks to use the Hebrew name????
