(5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Calvinism and Arminianism contradict one another.
At any rate, the reference to walking after the flesh in
Romans 8 is referring to keeping law without the power of the Spirit. Paul said it cannot be done.
