Wasn't it the host minister/pastor who ordered the $400.00 lobster and the visiting minister observed this? I haven't read every page of this thread, but I thought Thad clarified this.

Here's an edit:

I read a few back and now I am more confused....Who's right?...Is there to be more clarification from Thaddeus?

Thad, do I have to "back track"..SO, the one who ordered was the visiting minister?....At first I thought it was the visiting minister, then the pastor, and then the visiting minister - or was that vice versa?

Jeanie can clear this up, actually she already did. The visiting minister ordered the lobster, and the host church picked up the bill. Makes me mad just to think about it!!

I agree with ya...A person can order a really good meal for $20 to $30 per person where I live.

Ok. That's a different story then. This fella should be ashamed of himself for doing something like this at the expense of the church. That is not right, in my opinion. What's wrong with plain old Red Lobster lobster for $25?

Brother, my wife and I ate at Red Lobster just last year and for her, myself, and my youngest daughter the bill came out to $70. Both me and the wife each had steak and lobster too, along with some side dish I can't remember the name of. Sampler something or another. Red Lobster is not that expensive a place to eat.
