Bro, these government programs are not because of virtue.

Listen in the county of Broward, we must register our bicycles. If they are stolen they can track the bike "if" found. Now, the real reason for registry is to find out who has what, in case there comes a day when they need what we have. Insuring children for health care, has another reason. A reason which has nothing to do with anyone's well being.
One word, "Addison".

She's here today because she qualified for treatments her mother, who didn't have health insurance, couldn't afford.

All you have are theoreticals and "what-if" concepts. Chalk on a blackboard. I have a healthy living breathing little girl who wouldn't have made it otherwise.

So, say what you will.

Chris, you didn't answer my question.

Do all children see doctors?

Hello!

No. Some parents choose not to take their children to the doctor. But, that's their choice. The option remains, should they change their mind. Does it not? And shouldn't any parent reserve the right to change their mind?

Re: BY THIS STANDARD-Greg L. Bahnsen

This is where the rightwing starts building a theoretical case as to why we're better off not providing health insurance for poor kids.

Pat yourselves on the back.

Hey man, that's not what I asked you.

Do all children go to doctors????

OK, how about, do all children NEED to go to doctors???

How about never seeing a doctor all the way into their old age???

Just think before you answer.

You are the king of theoreticals.

Addison isn't a theoretical. She's a little girl, whose mother didn't have health insurance, who needed life saving treatments, largely funded by SCHIP. And, there are a little over 8 million children like her.

I shared a picture of her. Go back and take a look.

Had Addison not been able to receive the treatments she received, she'd be dead today.

Are you saying she shouldn't have been given the treatments?

So, basically Addison is an excellent example of what tax dollars can do... other than building bombs.

I'm curious, how would Addison have faired under a rightwing "Christian Reconstructionist" government?

You are saying that you never use theoreticals? Yes, or no?

Also, why are you finding it so difficult to answer the questions I asked?

Do all children go to doctors????

OK, how about, do all children NEED to go to doctors???

How about never seeing a doctor all the way into their old age???
