ILG~ With all the bad flap Mormons get I must say they really do a lot good when it comes to helping their own and strange as well. Lived in UT for four years, they help the widows and old, sick, homeless on a daily base, even folks who were not member received help and were allowed to shop in their store house to pick up free food, due to being out of work or just having a hard time making ends meet. While my husband was out town on business UT was hit by record snow storm, the men folks shoveled the snow off my roof for days, and due to the high winds it blew apart some of the roof. They showed up and fixed it, would not aspect money, they asked that I help someone in their time of need. By far they have a great welfare system set in place, I think other could learn something from it!
