I understand it comes together . . . but what I'm saying is the script isn't written by the prop or costume guys. That's done during the storyboard or even after.

You stated that being an actor, you know what goes on with props and costumes . . . two areas that came after that particular scene was already thought out and written.

I never said the Director doesn't plan these scenes. I did say the prop and costume department doesn't do this though . . . it's the writer and, as you've stated, the Director.
The Director tells the prop man and costuming what he wants to convey and they make suggestions that make it happen. He either agrees or tells them he needs something else. Sometimes they make the suggestion. It all works together.

Thank you for admitting you noticed it. It was VERY noticeable.
