Isn't it just amazing how you can melt with forgiveness for anyone and any situation when you've been in the presence of the Lord?
Words are so powerful and healing but can in turn be also hurtful and damaging! Good post, Barb!

Thank you, PO...you know, I do my
best to try to live by this, I really do. But when situations arise and words get thrown around, it takes great effort remembering I am not the old Barb and that zipping my lip is taking the high road. A friend reminded me of that just the other day, God bless her heart.
Thank God for the Holy Ghost and for
His reminder as well that HE will speak to our critics and HE will be our strong tower in the face of adversity.
And you are SO right about being in His presence. It softens the hardest heart and brings repentance and healing....if we would but spend more time there.
Words are indeed powerful and carry tremendous weight everywhere, but never as much I thing as in the realm of the Spirit.
The old nursery rhyme is wrong...words can and do hurt, wound and even kill. They may not harm the body, but they can harm the soul and spirit of an individual, which to me is worse.
