Unless you know who the admin is posting a 'moderating' post (unless they post it under their own name), I'm not sure there is a way to tell from our side.
But it recently happened to me that was caught a month later, wasn't against the rules, and nobody complained, yet I was warned...whether or not it was because I'm considered a lib is anyone's guess though. I'm not going there.

I think some posters are upset how Dan was treated (see Ronzo's blog thread) and now MOW leaves because he feels there is censorship going on...and GC is around the corner....so things are amusingly spicy right now. oloroid
Dan did wrong. I was the one that banned him. His thread pushed the line and was inappropriate for a Christian forum. RandyWayne was also banned from that thread for masking a cuss word. This is a Christian Forum, and that type of posting was not right, and was according to our rules a bannable offense. Dan is good at pushing the limits. This time he exceeded them. He is welcome back when his ban is up.

I don't think there was anything to report in that post. Believe me, if the person had an issue and thought I'd be reprimanded or worse for what I said, she'd have reported it 18 times an hour until you responded! LOL!
It was only 'caught' when the thread was bumped. Also, while my PM said it was against the rules, I saw nothing in the rules referring to what I'd done. In fact, I've seen others post about other posters as I'd done. No big deal, right? ;D
Fact is, nobody had an issue with that post and it wasn't reported. It was simply that when the thread was bumped after being dormant for a month, my post being the last one before the bump, it was seen by an admin who took action.
I have to admit I was upset and offended at first, thinking I was given an infraction (because that was in the PM subject line), but when I found out it was just a warning, it was cool!
And I believe that you would, in my case, shoot first! LOL!
