So long I had searched for life's meaning,
Enslaved by the world and my greed;
Then the door of the prison was opened by love,
For the ransom was paid - I was free.
Refrain
I'm free from the fear of tomorrow,
I'm free from the guilt of the past;
For I've traded my shackles for a glorious song,
I'm Free! Praise the Lord! Free at last!
I'm free from the guilt that I carried,
From that dull empty life I'm set free;
For when I met Jesus, He made me complete,
He forgot how foolish I used to be.
Refrain
I'm free from the fear of tomorrow,
I'm free from the guilt of the past;
For I've traded my shackles for a glorious song,
I'm Free! Praise the Lord! Free at last!
I'm free from the fear of tomorrow,
I'm free from the guilt of the past;
For I've traded my shackles for a glorious song,
I'm Free! Praise the Lord! Free at last!
I'm Free! Praise the Lord! Free at last!

Bro. Chosenbyone,
You cannot know how you posting this song touched my
heart this morning. There is not one of us that can boast
of not having a sinful past. If we have anything to "boast"
it is only in what our Wonderful Lord Jesus did for each of
us.
Thank you for posting the words as I want to sing them
for a few days and once again thank HIM for His Marvelous mercy
and grace which He has bestowed abundantly upon each of
us. To God be the glory, for GREAT things He has done, whereof
we are glad!
Blessings,

God's mercy cannot be measured by the opinions of others or ourselves...for that I would be forever grateful.
To know that I was once so enslaved by the world and I couldn't see the light for the darkness I found myself living in. But praise the Lord, he set my free from all those things that kept me from experiencing the grace and mercy that he so lovingly bestowed upon me.
I especially liked the second verse, but I couldn't find it online last night. Perhaps, I'll have the chance to write the verse down in order to share it too.
Love ya, MomC.

Dearest Chosen,
Please do! You know PopC and I love you with the love of Christ
shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost!! It's HIS LOVE for you
through us.
O love beyond human expression,
Compassion so boundless and free.
Jesus showed His great wealth of affection,
When His body was broken for me.
Blessings,
MomC

Up Where We Belong
- BeBe and CeCe Winans
You won't know what tomorrow brings,
in a world where few hearts survive.
All I know is the way I feel,
and if it's real, I'm gonna keep it alive.
'Cause the road is long,
there are mountains in our way,
but yet we'll climb still higher everyday.
Chorus:
Lord, lift us up where we belong,
where the eagles fly
on a mountain high.
Lord, lift us up where we belong,
up from the world we know,
where the clear winds blow.
Some hang on to what used to be,
stop living your life looking behind.
'cause all we have is You right now,
all our lives are in You tonight.
But the road is still so very long,
yes, there are mountains in our way,
but we won't worry 'cause we're achieving,
we'll keep climb still higher everyday.
Chorus
Bridge:
See, time goes by,
and sometimes, yes we'll cry
but He'll wipe every tear from our eyes
Lord lift us up, Jesus...
Chorus

Take You Burdens To The Lord
If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,
And you have to get along with meager fare,
Just remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Chorus:
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If your body suffers pain and your health you can’t regain,
And your soul is almost sinking in despair,
Jesus knows the pain you feel, He can save and He can heal;
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
When your enemies assail and your heart begins to fail,
Don’t forget that God in Heaven answers prayer;
He will make a way for you and will lead you safely through.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
When your youthful days are gone and old age is stealing on,
And your body bends beneath the weight of care;
He will never leave you then, He’ll go with you to the end.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
Chorus:
Leave it there, leave it there,
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.
If you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out.
Take your burden to the Lord and leave it there.

Sis. Barb,
I grew up hearing my dear mother going about her daily
duties as the mother of eleven, singing "Leave It There",
Take your burdens to the Lord and leave it there. If you
trust and never doubt, God will surely bring you out, take
your burdens to the Lord and leave it there. As long as she
was on this earth, I believe she did just that. Now as a
mother of six adult children and their spouses, and the
grandmother of 19, the Lord willing, come spring, will be 20.
There is no way I could physically, mentally or emotionally
carry burdens for that many. But I can spiritually carry them
all in prayer, plus some, if I take them and give them daily to
His care. Those old songs had messages and stories of over-
coming and how to overcome. By the Blood of the Lamb and
by the word of our testimony. Those that went before us left
clues and experiences that build faith, along with the Word of
God, that we can make it! I know! I heard their songs, saw
their lives and their faith lived out. May all who come behind
us find us faithful!
Blessings,
