What are property taxes like in Surrey? I've found the tax rate here in the Calgary area to be far lower than in NB. The actual taxes I pay are higher due to the much higher property values but the rate is much lower....

I read an article in the Province when I was in BC a few weeks ago that the average for a 3 bedroom house in greater Vancouver is right around the $700K mark - just crazy......It's hovering around $500K here - also crazy!! Especially when I look at the mls.ca site and see what I can get in Fredericton or the Saint John river valley area for under $200K.... Maybe I should go back - LOL!

Vancouver has been listed as the most liveable city in the world. It certainly isn't because of reasonable housing, that's for sure.

The tax rate is lower here too. I'm not sure what it is.

New Brunswick is wonderful, far as I'm concerned.
