Hi RG...
Just dropped in to say that I love hugs, too...
Sometimes we need a mother's hug, ya know?! The kind that you can fall into.
Some mothers are not built for that...my own mom is a sweetie, but is not a big hugger.
The church I used to attend, the PW was a real good hugger, and she seemed to just know when to hug and hold you for a minute or so. Many is the time that I knew she was pouring herself out to me in a hug...I miss her...
Good thread, girl, and here's your hug...

Ya know, I think you have hit on something that I have not even allowed myself to think about and I'm gonna cry on this one.
I missed my mom this past weekend. Geron was the first grandchild to be married and she loved him soooo much - - I know she would have been so pleased to have been there and see how happy he was and I didn't have her to share all the excitement with.
Oh man....now I need some major shoulders...............I can't believe that I haven't even had that thought until you mentioned moms.
I was the mom.

No, Barb, it's okay - - I needed to realize that was there in my mind and I wasn't even allowing myself to think about it.
How insensitive of me to not even think about it before now, but I'm almost glad because I probably would have lost it during the ceremony.

Well, here let's get this on a happy note.
Here's a picture I had colorized for my parents 50th anniversary!
They were married in 1950 at the Bible Hour Tabernacle in Jonesboro, AR (I believe the first GC was held there or something like that) She made her dress out of satin for $12.

I think so too. I believe she paid $50 for pictures which was a big amount then - - thank goodness she had the foresight to do that.
I can't believe she was only 20 - - that's how old my daughter will be when she gets married.
