no. if my pastor decided to go then i think of him as a man with a backbone thats not scared to stand for what he belives. him and his family have been in the upc for 30+ years and they have kept the same stand that they had back then why change it now.

Are they against all video use, even to the point of saying it is wrong to own a VCR or a DVD player or any sort of Video player?

Ok...but what about the computer? You can watch Mpegs...most new computers have a DVD player built in....in fact ALL newer computers have a DVD player built in. Is it Microsoft? Did you uninstall Windows Media Player and all other media players? Do you have flash installed in Internet Explorer or whatever browser you use?

Does this injunction include not watching Oneness preaching on the internet?
Do you have a cell phone or digital camera that takes and views video?

Right...then someone could also have a TV and understand the dangers of it and filter or be discerning against certain bad content and avoid them....right?

I confess all this techno stuff is over my head. But the principle is the same. I don't have a television, or have Hollywood commercial style video, or watch anything like that on DVD or anywhere else.

Okay, I get your drift, but what concerns me as to the "Cons" revulsion to resolution 4 is a big misconception. I never got the understanding that the UPC was forcing it's members to go out and buy a tv and force them to watch it! The reaction of the "Cons" is how it appears to me! My comments simply said what are they afraid of? It does sound to me like they are running from a "problem". Their solution, disaffiliation. Your thoughts?

the reason why it is a big deal is because the door that has been opened will lead to other things concerning t.v. we understand that as of now it is only allowing upc pastors to advertise..do you think that the ones that are advertisig are really ever going to preach against it(because the upc is against wathing tv.)no way.we are not afraid of this res. we just have a big conviction about it.and i personally feel if we stayed in, then we are supporting that whitch we strongly preach against.
