I did it one year - - got up at 6:00 a.m. and was one of the first in a store to get 2 sets of Christmas dishes and gave them to my in-laws. She sent them back to me and said she'd rather have some she'd picked out already.

I haven't bothered since. That is go that early on Friday's for the sale and put much thought into their gift - - lol!
