And I have a "new to me" 12 gauge to try out for the first time.

And plenty of Aleve in the cabinet for afterwards. ~L~

You need a shotgun like mine.

I have a Remington Model 1100 20 gage. ive had it all my life. It was made somewhere around 1970 but maybe even before that. it doesnt kick at all. has a gas recoil and is a wonder to shoot. I never needed a bigger gage shotgun because this one is so accurate and so easy to shoot.

LOL! I know! my dad has a Browing 12 gage. He loves that gun. he and I used to hunt together all the time, and some of my fondest memories are walking thru the woods on a cold fall morning.

it is amazing how great my Rem 1100 is even now after 30 years of use!

PS, Dad also has a double barrel 12 gage made from Damascus steel. it was my great grandpas and is at least 100 years old. It shoots black powder but no one has shot it in years. it will one day be passed to my son.

That's a classic gun Ferd. They don't come any better for the money. Your son will have something with a lot of good memories to inherit.
