If someone was to come here from a different faith this 'battle' would seem very contrived and weird.

you really think so?? they have issues they fight over Dave.
like who can take communion and who can't.
now they are fighting over whether a lesbian can be a pastor etc.
we might think all of that is strange too - no ?

Communion and lesbianism? Infinitely more important issues.

more important issues? like apostacy?
thank God Pentecost has not had to deal with what you call "more important issues".

I don't think he stated this. I think he stated what other faiths are battlig over...if they came here and saw this big battle being advertising on TV...it does look very weird.

Just think it's absurd to equate the 'TV issue' with communion and homosexuality as Thad did. The last 2 are battles worth fighting and dividing over.

No Dave, I just think that some of the Pentecostals might read about the things they are arguing about and think " WHY are they arguing about something that is already in the word of God"? there's nothing TO argue about it. this would leave many here shaking their heads just as much as someone reading about our debate over TV

Because our rightly dividing His word has eternal consequences but to put television on that level is a mistake.
