I can do without all that sensual imagery.
What of the sensual imagery of the Song of Solomon?
Are we not the bride, now?

Cons have often been obsessed w/ sexual perversion in the Church... ranging from the color of the shirt a male is wearing ... to the slit on the sister's skirt.

Out of the abundance of the mouth ....

Sexual perversion knows no ideological bounds.

Who can disagree??? ... but their seems to be an unnatural focus on sexuality when "holiness" is preached by some of these men ...

One reason mom left the Apostolic Assembly because her pastor was OBSESSED w/ women's legs in his holiness diatribes.

The same could be said for a lot of the "I don't preach a clothesline message" crowd. Maybe they don't preach modest dress cause they like to look at women dressed like two-dollar-Saturday-night-@#$%^.

I believe holiness but I don't preach the old traditional "clothesline message". As a matter of fact at our church you won't hear that preached but you will see LOTS of modest people living holiness standards. The difference is that we focus on being like Jesus. The more like Jesus we get the more modest we become.

If preacher constantly preaches about women's clothes he has issues.

I absolutely agree with the last sentence.

But would you agree there needs to be some sort of dress code in the church?

I didn't say that we don't have a dress code. We have platform standards that must be followed. It is just that if you come to our church the "message of the hour" usually won't be how people are dressed or should be dressed. Those things are taught in other sessions. There are times that while Bro. Dobbs is preaching that standards do come out which is ok. I am not against that but it just is not something we harp on all the time from the pulpit in regular services.

There is always that one preacher who boldly professed none of the women in his church wore a certain kind of undergarment.

I have never in almost 20 years of preaching felt the need to mention ladies undergarments from the pulpit.

You are absolutely right.

This is a red flag that I have observed in some on the fringes of the radical right. No doubt about it.

But I am not one of those fellows, and this issue bugs me.
