I am sorry. I dont see what Brother Epley did that was so wrong. It seems to me his comments were respectful and not in anyway threatening.

Not that it matters, but in that slimy way that preachers do things, he first inferred that I was a fool for the comments I was making, and then made two references quoting my posts directly inferring that I was a "closet agnostic".

But as usual, they always make sure they have plausible deniability because everyone knows a preacher would never call anyone a name... "Heavens No! You just took it the wrong way."

The fear-mongers will not have any power when more people start standing up to them.

SD, I completly defend your right to question. If I thought anyone was being threatening to you because of your questioning the traditional position that many of us (myself included) follow, I would stand up and tell them to stop.

What i saw from Bro. E was simply the typical kind of exchange that takes place here. I dont think he was doing anything out his character.

Nor do I think you over stepped. I do think you over reacted to his last comment a little but not by much.

Some people want to read into things thats all, but I have read this thread in its entirity up to this point and Brother Epley has done a fine job at explaining why we ought to wash one anothers feet. I personally did not see any fear tactic as one poster claims, but maybe I'm blind. LOL!
