JTullock's Mother passed away

I knew and worked for Doug and Michael when they first started Bargain Barn in Etowah. Was an Asst. Manager in one of their stores along time ago. And you are right... they are some of the finest people I have met. That was ober 20 years ago. I'm sure they don't remember me.

Doug is my dad's uncle. He is one of the greatest men in the world. How do you know him??? For many, many years we spent thanksgiving evening with them and the rest of the family. He has several sons, Michael, Durant, Billy and Larry. Michael is the one that runs the business with him. I am sure we will see them on Monday when the memorial service will be.

JTullock, I'm so sorry for your loss. But what a thrill it is for your mom to be spending Christmas with Jesus this year.

I didn't see this until Monday evening, and I'm sure the services are over. But I am praying for you right now. Sometimes the hardest part is after everything is over. That's when things really sink in.

This will be a wonderful Christmas for your mom but a VERY difficult one for you and your family. You will be in my prayers.

I lost my mother 14 yrs ago this month on Dec 13th she was only 52.

Being around people does help tremendously, there will be times when you miss her so much--but at least you know she will be in heaven with Jesus and you will have a reunion with her some day! Praise God!

Jeanie, that's so sobering. That's how old I am right now. I can't imagine if I died and left my boys behind. How devastating. You couldn't have been very old when your Mom passed either. I'm sure it was hard. Were you married to Keith yet?

My dad died in January of 1993. He was 58 years old. That was too young too. We had only had Justin with us for 6 months when we lost my dad. It was so sad to know that my son would never get the chance to know what a wonderful man his grandpa was. But then we adopted our second son 2 years later - and that boy is my dad re-created! Seriously! Cut from the same exact cloth. He likes the same foods my dad liked, likes to do the same things my dad liked to do, enjoyed the same kinds of activities my dad liked, has the same kind of personality my dad had and gets in the same kinds of trouble my dad used to get into. It's uncanny!

Oh it was really sad when she died, one of the last things she said is she wanted to see her grandchildren --I was 29 when she died, and I hadnt married Keith yet.

But your dad was young as well 58 is way to short a life imo.

What is really funny about what you are saying is that my second son is a lot like his grandmother in many ways. When he does some things I think that's got to be the Sondra in him! I named him Colby Alexander and the name Sondra comes from Alexander or Alexandra-

It was such a pleassure meeting both of you. Even though I have known of Raven for a while now I know who Raven really is. Raven is a great person. Matt was very cordial to this PCI-Guy.

I want to thank both of you for coming to the memorial service. I was surprised at the turn out seeing as it was on a Monday. I spotted Matthew right out of the gate. Raven I did not see until the end. Thank you both for being with my friends and family at this tough time in our lives. We do need your prayers. My father is taking it very tough. He feels really bad by it. But God heals the wounds. Tomorrow she will be at her final resting place it the mountains.

I am out of state on a business trip and just now saw this. I am so sorry for your loss. I will continue to pray for you and your dad and all of the family.

From what you have said about your mom's health I know she is enjoying her new glorified body and no doubt is dancing around the throne of heaven.
