I do know of one pastor that forgot to turn the wireless mic off....Having a great sound system isn't always a blessing......

Odessa, TX. JTP always turned lapel mic on during song service and sang along. He stepped out to the restroom and we even heard the "sigh of relief".

I remember seeing one pastor whose office had a restroom adjacent to it. If he wasn't careful with his timing the flush could be heard throughout the sanctuary. I was in there once and had to wait uncomfortably for several minutes while the song leader made some announcements before the music started up again and I could "evacuate" without causing unwelcome attention to myself.

since I use a wireless headset when I happen to ever do music or minister, I almost always remember this story when I have to step out to remind myself to double check the power supply before I enter the rest room.....only once have I forgotten to check to see if the mic is off or muted....at least, it was muted that time.

Though then again I have been tempted to leave it on.... and just go outside to where I store the shofar in my car and *accidently* blast it while pastor was preaching and just *accidently* leave my mic turned on!!! ....
