I am not passing "right or wrong" judgment about the teaching. I am just asking those who use this phrase to be willing to apply the same exegesis to the entire passage.

BTW, Rev, I probably know you or you knew/know my family. I was raised in Oklahoma and my dad, Rev. Lynn Jones, pastored in Duncan prior to moving us to Louisiana where he pastored until retirement and death. Alvin Turner in Marlow, OK is my uncle and Sherri Nance is my first cousin.

Yes, I know some of your family. Did your Dad take care of the cooking area at camp? I remember the name but we have been gone a long time. We knew David and Sherri very well and the Turners. My wife was a Michael.

David and Sherri followed Dad and Mom in Duncan.

I used to date Becky Nickell and I believe her mom, Jolene, was a Michael from the Pauls Valley area.

My dad, was a tall white headed fellow that did much of the AC, most of the plumbing and all the high powered Electrical work on the campground.

Jolene was a Wade. We are still very good friends with all of the Wades. We know Becky also.

I remember your Dad. I went to that church while he was still pastor right after I got the H. G. and came into the truth. Seems I dated a girl out of that church a few times.

You are sooo right about Jolene being a Wade but they did go to church with the Michaels.... My age is showing.

Now we had a young man in the church in Duncan back when you were active in coon hunting by the name of Calvin. He had something I have not heard even CoonSkinner talk about. He had fence jumping mules they road... kind of the Cadillacs of Coon Hunting... didn't get near as tired. The biggest problem I ever had with one them mules was when he decided he wasn't going to jump a particular barbed wire fence... I wound up head over heels IN the fence.

Yes the Michaels and the Wades went to the same church. That's where I meet my wife.

Great story the guys I hunted with never used mules, but a good mule brought a good price.
