This is not directed at you personally. Your comment just brought to mind something my pastor told me long ago.

Some people may never pick up a Bible. Some people may never enter a church. Perhaps the only way someone might see Jesus is by seeing him in our lives.

Maybe instead of trying to beat someone over the head with Acts 2:38, some should just practice what they preach. They might be surprised at how many people would be "won" just by doing that very thing.

If I remember correctly the very first sermon after the church was born contained Acts 2:38. Did Peter beat them over the head with it?

Sure it was part of what he said- but the best part about what he said was before Acts 2:38 in my opinion. That was the message that made them want to confess and find repentance.

When we focus on Jesus- the Lord will draw people unto Him.
