Why I cant ask why?

I have been thinking about this for two days now, and the passing of my pastor who was such a young guy only 44, 3 years younger than I, I know better than to question god, Jesus has been so good to me, but I cant help be curious, it just doesnt make any sense to me, for him to be gone, and his wife and kids left alone, your thoughts please, I loved my pastor dearly and his family will need that love more now, wondering, dt

Re: Why i cant ask why?

Did God actually claim responsibility?

I don't see why things have to be God's fault. There is no need to ask Him why unless He is the one who did it.

Things just happen sometimes. Genetics, cholesterol, stress, driving too fast... these are a few of the many random factors that we all wade through each day that lead to random deaths amongst us.

Re: Why i cant ask why?

We can ask, but we seldom get an answer. I know, everyday I ask Why? Its not that I blame God, or question His will, but the question remains. Why? I have no answer. Maybe its that God can see the future and knows things we don't know. Had Lola beaten this cancer and lived, maybe something else would have come up that would have brought her undue suffering. I don't know. Don't like to think about it, and maybe, just maybe, I really don't want to know why. But, I still ask, if for no other reason than to try to make sense of it all. Why? Why do the righteous suffer and it seems the evil people go on living? It seems that way, but it isn't, I know. Death comes to everyone. Its appointed unto man once to die.... Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, why? I grieve with you in this loss. And I don't think its wrong to ask Why. I just don't think we can expect an answer.

Re: Why i cant ask why?

I think almost anything others can tell you would just seem trite DT. I have 3 children who have gone to be with Jesus. I questioned everything. And I had people tell me all the things they thought would help. The truth is we won't know why until we see Jesus face to face. And then it won't matter to us. Because all pain and sorrow and tears will be gone. You just have to hold on to the Lord my brother. Somehow, someway, it will be all right. In this world we will have trouble, but He overcame the world. And I don't think God expects us not to wonder or ask why. But he will give us peace and solace.

DT,
In 1978 my father John Eckstadt was 43 just six months shy of turning 44. He left my mom and 4 kids.

I have often asked why...

I do not know all of the details as does God.

My father made the most profound statement to us from his bed.

He told us, "faith in the lord can give you the opportunity to be healed".

He then stated, "It takes more faith to die, then it does to live."

I have to trust God for certain now, with my days being few.

Trust in him that there is a next day in Christ..

I want you to know Jack Yonts ll was that kind of man...

He lived in faith, he preached in faith, he loved in faith and he passed away in the Lord with great faith.

We can all show our appreciation and love, by supporting his family in love and finances....

Nate

Perfectly understandable to be so.

These are not things that God "did" or "didn't do". But these are times that God will be by your side to help you through.
