Re: Later..............

Now, this place is starting to feel like the old FCF that I remember. I feel a 'wild wild west" spirit in the house and it's a good feeling. JY lives on.

Just do what you need to do and leave it as that.
I hear ya! What's up with that? Just stop coming to the forum if you don't like it. How difficult can that be?

I know...bash away......but it is not going the way it was originally intended.
It doesn't look to me like the forum is going in any direction. It seems pretty stationary to me. Maybe it's for the betterment of the forum if some go. So be it.

I recall seeing a goodbye cruel world post from you earlier when I was reading.
Do I dare say that when you say you're doing something and don't follow through with it, that is not being truthful? Weren't you gone forever because you didn't like new owners or something?

I could say the same to you regarding the posts you're here griping about after you said you were leaving.

I knew I wasn't dreaming had read that earlier today.

Could it be that these goodbye cruel world posts are from a bunch of people that are mad and leaving because they wanted to have a hand in the running of the forum but weren't asked to step in to run the place.

I've read some posts that were good posts and so many come back with smart remarks, rude remarks. Why???

Hey MOW,
I am open to consider that you may have a very unique perspective on the last 12 months.

In this new atmosphere of openness and opportunity for plainess of speech, please share what you preceived as the "Two radically opposed viewpoints "

Your post identifies a definitive condition, so please, before you move beyond forums again, please share your assessment of these two viewpoints (without applying any names).

thanks,
tbpew

Re: Later..............

MOW,
In your assessment, do you view the new Synfellows(sp?) forum as a comparable expression of Jim Yohe's ambition? If so, what key aspect(s) makes it so? (please note St.Matt's acknowledgement that AFF never saw its mission as an extension or offspring from the JY forum mission).

PS: Is "Sandra" a financial sponsor of the J-Roc & Danny myspace?

TB .... As an admin at Syndadelfos I will try to answer your questions.

1. Please realize J-Roc is the primary owner of SynaD and Sandra is not a sponsor of the forum in any capacity. She is part of the community and a friend.

2. I did not know Jim Yohe .... nor did Jeff. Neither did we participate in FCF or NFCF. Although, we know of it's rich history and the dynamics at play ... even here as it relates to those 2 forums.

2. Synadelfos was a plan we had been formulating for over a year. We even had plans to enter joint partnership w/ 2 others here ... launching it in the fall of 2006.

It's features are of course ... unique in comparison to the Vbulletin forum format ... and it is designed to be a social network ... with blogging, media sharing, forum posting and networking capabilities.

3. Our mission since we've engaged in forumland has always been to foster and seek open discussion w/ all believers. Syna-D we hope is providing such a platform ... as the AFF is doing as of now, IMO. If this was JY's vision ... then we share a common view.
