Im really careful about that kind of stuff because I have known people who became afraid of their own shadow...they were seeing demons everywhere.

But to say someone feels the devil in church in a song? That's kinda weird. I think Pentecostals are apt to call anything that is strange or different to their paradigm "of the devil" and believe they are feeling something evil.

I think that's painting with an awful broad brush. "Pentecostals" aren't the only ones who call things of the devil. Many different "religions" call things that they don't agree with "of the devil" MANY people say that SPEAKING WITH TONGUES is of the devil.

Bro, it seems to me that you have an awful strong contempt for Apostolic people in the sense that you are pretty much always negative about the things that Apostolic people do and believe in. The tone with which you post is VERY NEGATIVE and just a bit on the condemning side. I rarely see you post with much positive insights and encouragment about what we do and believe in.

You seems to have great respect for Oneness and the New Birth Doctrine, but not much respect for those who preach it or live it.

I didn't say only Pentecostals or ALL Pentecostals.

Oh brother. I wonder where this is really coming from. I believe in the truth and I Love the truth and I have no contempt for any body. I am very cautious about what happens in our ranks because not everything that happens is of God. I have been in the UPC over 20 years and have heard, seen and experienced a lot of things that were called "of God" or "of the Devil" that were in fact not. My pointing that out does not equate contempt for Apostolics. That is just absurd and I suspect a little biased on your part.

Oh BTW...why did I mention Pentecostals and not Methodists calling tongues of the devil or any other group? Because we are here talking about Pentecostals and Sister Alvear mentioned a visiting preacher who said HE felt the Devil in that song...Sorry but I stand by what I said, it happens often that because someone hears a song they are not used to the think it's of the devil or evil. I have seen it happen a lot in Pentecost. I have seen people with a mental illness called Demon possessed....and nobody cast out the devil. I stand by what I said. It was not broad brushing nor negative no condemning nor contemptuous and if you have rarely seen me post anything encouraging that just proves to me you are biased. I have posted a LOT of encouraging topics.
