*written to nobody specifically*
I've heard people say so many times ..........
"They may not be apostolic and they may not have ever spoken in tongues but they've got something. There's no doubt about that. The anointing is all over them and the glow of the Holy Ghost is on their face. They certainly ministered to me. The presence of the Lord was so rich!"
Well.........just what is it that they have? What is that something?

I know people who do not have the truth of Jesus name baptism, or even speaking in tongues, but the Spirit of God has spoken things to them and they are following His voice. I believe that the Spirit of God dwells in every believer. I think there is a difference in the Spirit of God dwelling in you and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, which is accompanied by tongues. It's an enduement of power that comes on a believer after they have repented, sometimes quickly, sometimes years later.
No one can convince me that I didn't have the Lord in my life all those years between when I was baptized in water and when I spoke in tongues.

Having the Lord in one's life and being born again are two totally different things, don't you agree?

When someone believes the gospel and repents and turns from their sinful life (by the grace of God) there is a change in the way that person thinks and acts. The Lord is working in that person's life and is with that person. The angels in heaven rejoiced when that person came to repentance but was that person born again?
I think repentance is undervalued. The Lord was with you all those years, but according my understanding of the word of God, He wasn't in you.

I think you are born again at repentance, if you are sincerely leaving Satan's kingdom and entering into God's kingdom. After your new birth, you are to be baptized in His name and then baptized by His Spirit. But I believe that you are born again when you enter the Kingdom of God.

I believe what I believe because I can find it in the Bible.
We cannot enter the kingdom of God without being born of the water and of the Spirit. I believe these (water and Spirit) are the baptisms.( Acts 2:28) Jesus didn't say when you repent you are born again.
I'm just not understanding the scriptures the way you do. Where can I find being born of water and Spirit happens at repentance. Is it a feeling or is there scripture to agree with what you believe?

I believe that when Jesus said you must be born of the water AND the Spirit, that He meant spiritual birth, as well as natural birth (Nic only had understood the natural birth--of the water). Where does the Bible say being born again means speaking in tongues?
