Sorry guys but I dont know what churches yall came from but musta been some back woods nowhere nothing because I dare to say you couldnt find one lady at all that looks that homely and definitely not one single one in a dress anything like that in ANY upc church I have been in... thats a sad comparison

I haven't been in the UPC since the 80's, but this is exactly what I remember many (most?) of the women looking like.

Then your memory is playing tricks on you. It is plain to see that those are home made dresses, and I have yet to find any apostolic church where the women all wear the same style of home made dress.

I saw many like that. The old AMF was even moreso this way.

Yes, it is the hair, the dresses (homemade or not), and the unique way that they all look middle aged from the time they turn 20. A very "must keep subjected" mentality coming from the mens side and eagerly adopted by the women.

There are similarities, but they look more Amish than apostolic, IMO.
