Because he recently left the UPC while at the top of his game. He was a well known evangelist in high demand.
Right up until he left he was preaching many camp meetings, conferences, etc.
He went to exUPC Kenneth Phillips Church and exUPC W. Hutchens Chuch in after leaving the UPC (he lived in Austin and worked with both churches and based out of them).
He recently left Texas to take over the pastorate of a church in the Shreveport, La area that is not UPC. This is interesting in itself as he prevoiusly pastored in that same area as a pretty conservative UPC pastor.

not conservitive? well if you call his wife wacking off her hair not conservitive then yes he is not conservitve.
if you call leaving the upci and becoming the prophet of the New Church Order, not conservitive then yes he is not conservitive.
if you call taking a church that dont got NO standards not conservitive then yes, he is not conservitive.

the thing about satire is that it only works when it sharpsticks people.
my goal there was to show how shocking a statement like that is, while at the same time pointing out how that happens here quite a bit... from both sides.
