I actually pulled over twice to take 5 minute naps. I was afraid doing this because of drunk drivers I have seen slam into vehicles parked on the side of the freeway.

It's not safe to pull to the side of the freeway but find a rest stop or store to stop at. Just a short nap can rejuvenate you enough to get you home safe.
