But until you believe, then faith is reasonable. Faith is not reasonable to those who don't believe. Take my son for instance. He doesn't think he can believe in something he can't see. I use the scripture that every house is built by some man and he that made all things is God. He understood that but then he wants to know which GOD is the God that made all things.
What do you say? I gave him a book by Lee Stobel and a CD by Ravi Zacharias. Which he did not read but he listened to the CD. The bottom line is he isn't really wanting to seek after God or know God at this time in his life. He wants to do the things he wants to do and I don't think any amount of reasoning will change his mind. Only prayer and the Spirit of the Lord can make him see his need for God and take away the blindness cast over his mind.

The evidence that Peter would offer was current and known by people of his time. He was offering testimony as in a court of law.

What I meant to say is what did the apostles say to prove the scriptures were true or even that their testimony of Christ was true? I was hoping you would answer my question. The Bible is written with the assumption that in the beginning God created....it doesn't try to prove itself.

Signs and wonders are NOT enough. Remember what Abraham told the rich man when he asked for Lazarus to good to his brothers????? "Even if one comes back from the dead".....
