Re: Your experience when you dropped "dress standa
Speaking of fish, I ate a couple bites of my 19 inch, just over 3 pounds bass that I caught last Saturday while at LR's house today. I'd never had bass before but they are delicious!!!

Fortunately, I loved Holly Hobbie even more!
I happen to have watched and LOVED Wonder Woman, the show, the comic book, and the cartoon series. I liked your avatar. Saw nothing wrong with it. Personally it could have been Linda Carter and I still would not have cared.
Guess now I will have to joing the ranks of the ultra liberal instead of the moderates.
Daniel A here I come.

I am terribly sorry and ashamed to be the one to assist in leading you down that line of revelation of how much of a commie liberal you really are.

Some people try to make that change into something evil, that it is a result of moving away from God but as your post and others on here have shown it is exactly the opposite.
There are a few shallow women just looking for an excuse to stop adhering to a "standard" but for most it is not something taken lightly.
that's true cc, and that's the difference...approaching it through prayer & scripture study and not b/c you're just tired of it. nevertheless, it is so hard to discuss with some hard core people who will forever look at you as just someone who needs to go pray through. one of my "liberal" looking friends was praying one night at church...really getting a blessing and some well meaning sisters all came up to her and were praying for her. i know she was getting a blessing...they were thinking she was feeling conviction. so sad.
as someone posted earlier...it's sad to group people as standards or no standards. all true christians do have standards. people don't realize that. as a baptist girl, i had some standards too. i didn't wear strapless shirts and shorty shorts. i might add that some of the jeans i wore were much more modest than some of our teenagers skirts, btw.
Re: Your experience when you dropped "dress standa
I thought God was always trying to make life hard, in order to try me. It was hard for me to stand alone at school and be different.
Then I ran across the decision of the Apostles Council in Acts 15:28-29. I saw that the Holy Ghost was actually trying to make things easy for me. That was revelation to me. I didn't see the standards listed there in vs 29. The Articles of Faith just won't fit in one verse.
I have since come to understand that when you are totally and completely yielded to God, living for Him is the easiest thing you'll ever do.
From there, it was all downhill for me. You know what they say, "It's a slippery slope".
