The trinitarian charismatic church I have visted near my house and that my wife is probably going to go to has been great about all of the things I have concerns with the few times I have been there. I heard the pastor talk about how important water baptism is as an action signifying ones change of allegience, etc. I have also heard from their pulpit strong statements regarding morality, etc. Not in a judgementa lway but a biblical, factual way. If they only baptized in Jesus name! (Pianoman went to this churches mother church for about a year and said they will baptize in Jesus name if someone asks but I don't think they do that normally)

Re: Christ Church Pastor Change
I realized we have fussed alot over many issues but my heart is saddened by this post that the lack of emphasis on truth has led to this mindest that truth really matters very little.
You believe obeying Acts2:38 is truth with speaking in tongues but it doesn't matter.
I am not trying to offend as much as I like to fuss but this has made my heart hurt.

Brother, that's the true slippery slope: knowing the truth and it not mattering much.

Bro. Epley
I understand your love for the scripture. In particular, a love for someone being baptized in Jesus name and them receiving the Holy Ghost. Nevertheless, not everybody fits into mole that many oneness churches have made. My wife is from Spain (Europe) and she has received the Holy Ghost and been baptized in Jesus name. However, after going to a conservative oneness church for quite while she was not convicted of the standards, and she was exasperated how the people treated her because she didn't dress like them.
It seems to me that US people are a lot more likely to accept such standards because they have seen people do them all of their lives. However, people from other cultures do not accept them because they are not conditioned to them.

No real problem exists over the use of "The Name" in everthing else done in the Church. Why then should there exist great controversy over the use of the "The Name of the Godhead" in water baptism?

I've never been to Spain, but below is how I have always pictured Spaniard women dressing. Other than being sleevless, I don't see how anyone could have a problem with it.

What doesn't matter? I'm confused. Sorry.

Re: Christ Church Pastor Change
It is beyond my imagination that someone who has known the truth to have no qualms about going to a Trinity church. I would rather never set a foot in a church than attend a Trinity church. I don't expect y'all to feel like me but to be so carefree that truth means zip?

What I believe is very important to me, but going to a church that doesn't believe exactly the same doesn't bother me. I am secure in what I believe is truth. My kids know why we baptize in Jesus' name, but they know that the majority of the body of Christ doesn't see it that way. It doesn't hurt them to worship with others who are Spirit filled but don't understand Jesus' name baptism.
I think if you had been to more "Trinitarian" churches, you would see that they don't focus or teach "trinitarian" doctrine - I've never heard it one time. It's just not an issue with them like it is on our side. The only difference I've ever seen is the way they baptize. Sometimes I hear people say things that are blatantly "three-personality", but it's rare, and I just ignore it. Eat the fish and spit out the bones.
Our church kids have gone to an AG camp for years and never one time been taught trinitarian doctrine. They don't bring it up, and they don't baptize at the camp, so I see nothing wrong with it. We've had probably 30 kids filled with the Holy Ghost there in the past few years. The worship is awesome and the altar services are amazing. It feels just like UPC camp services.
