No, I asked you first.  And you are being obtuse. You know that "medicine man" usually refers to the tribal HEATHEN boys that dance around fire and call on evil spirits.

Yes, a physician is a medicine man. They have to learn about what treats what, don't they? They're the ones who write the scrips, correct? The only thing they don't do is whip up the concoctions in their offices. I, will, however, note that part of what pharmacists do is whip up special medicines for people.

You can't be so stubborn there are MANY words that have the same root but mean entirely different things. Cognates even further illustrate this point... just because the Bible uses a word with the same root doesn't mean there is any connection with a modern word of a completely different meaning.
The fact that it was translated as something different expresses the difference in translation. This is why words have multiple meanings where some of the meanings are entirely unrelated and I fail to see a connection at all with idol worship and witchcraft to pharmacology.
