so mzbratti,
are you similarly confident when the administration of supplemental chemistry into your blood stream is necessary on a continual basis? Is such a condition a God-supplied remedy even though it is blatantly NOT curative?
Are you willing to comment (using your generally pragmatic approach to things), concerning the child of God altering their body's chemistry by the continual (chronic) ingesting of drugs?
Is this God's purposed blessing for all of us lucky-ducks living in 2008?
Are your liver and kidneys up for the task of processing 'God's blessing" out of your blood stream?
Why do your liver and kidneys want to remove what God has supplied as a remedy?
IMO, these are an example of questions that need to at least be soberly considered before we become too causal about our linking God with synthetic chemistry ingested into our bodies.
all I can tell you is that for the better part of 18 months, the pain i lived with required me to take Norco. without it I couldnt get out of bed.
I took just enough to deaden the pain. I quit taking it when I could function without it.

I would have to say his simple title indicates he practiced medicine.
No, that doesn't mean he practiced medicine. Luke was an Apostle first and then a physician second. He would probably pray for you first and you would be healed.
I know of a doctor who would pray for you and wouldn't charge you, but if he had to prescribe you medication and look at what ailed you, then he would charge you. Sounds like a wise physician to me.

You don't even know what practicing medicine is apparently.
No, Luke was a physician long before he was an apostle. Jesus picked Luke, not some sorcerer. The fact is that Luke was not in a dual situation. He was not at one hand a Jesus lover then if that failed he went to witchcraft. Come on! You are stretching was is evident. There would be no need to call Luke a physician if he was not.... Besides I guess that makes God the "Great Witch".
Your argument just keeps getting more ridiculous as you try to pull things out of nowhere.

Do you believe that God can heal you completely without ever taking it? If you don't, then it is ok because some need the help of medication to help them out.

its almost an insulting question for an Apostolic isnt it?
I dont know how you can be any form of Apostolic and not believe in the healing power of God.
I have told the story here many times of God healing my mother from serious back problems. she could not walk on her own the night God healed her.
God has healed me many times.
I prayed with a close friend who had been diagnosed with a desease that would have killed him and God healed him. That was during a period when I could barely walk due to the pain in my back.
Can God Heal? That isnt a question to ask me. My faith in God is complete. beyond my faith that God can heal, in the meantime, His Grace is sufficient for me.

You are ridiculous to think that the scripture was talking about doctors, it was not. The scripture was talking about pharmacists, which is why you are so adamant against the truth of that scripture.
You called God, the "Great Witch", not me.
You haven't proven your case against what the scripture says and you don't even know how to do it in an intelligent manner, which is pathetic.

You are kidding right? I never said the scripture spoke of either, I am saying it speaks of crazy ludicrous tree worship. In the days of the Bible there was no distinction between the two, there was not a pharmaceutical company that gave the physicians medication. Thats absurd!
Doctors practice medicine, the same way a pharmacist practices medicine. The doctor uses techniques and what not that are parallel to the processes used in pharmacology. You obviously don't know half what a doctor does.
I hope you take the time and learn about the history and the present state of the fields before you even consider replying because it is obvious you know nothing about what doctors/pharmacists do/did.

it was not talking about Pharmicists.

No, because this is how the world of today is. If you took it that way, then I apologize, but it was not intended that way. Since this thread was started, I was totally surprised at how many Apostolics do take medications for their ailments.

I am not attacking your faith or if you believe that God can heal, so if you think that I am, then I apologize for that too.
