Exactly, what I am saying is I could care less about the content of the argument. There is no surefire way to prove either side except by asking the author when you get up there (granted you don't take aspirin), I am just sick of him trying to detour the argument by saying he is only talking about pharmacists when it is clear he has no clue whats going on there.

To equate a sorcerer with a modern day pharmacist is not a correct one. Scripture is clear in the legitimate use of medication.

The point is I don't believe either are mentioned in the scripture and there really isn't evidence to prove either side. I am just defending the cause of medicine and trying to impress him to read up on what either do, because they do parallel jobs, not jobs that meet up for one cause, medicine is practiced through the Socratic method by both pharmacists and doctors. Pharmacists don't simply mix a bunch of junk and doctors don't simply prescribe junk.

Gus, they may be connected, but they are two separate professions. I know it's hard for you to be objective because you are in the profession. That's understandable. I happen to know OM and know a little about how his mind works. He's not one to simply write off scripture as being irrelevant, especially NT scripture. In his mind you guys are saying this scripture isn't important and doesn't apply to us today, even though the very definition of the word suggests it is important and relevant.

It speaks of healing balms. It speaks of medicinal treatments like pouring wine into a wound

How about a 'balm in Gilead'? How about the use of oil and wine as medication?
