I'll save you 1/3rd of the witch hunt. I am one of the yes votes but not because of racism but because of the enormous strain put on the marriage by the people we live among who Dan was refering to. One point most are missing is the racism runs both ways. We have a niece (white) in a relationship with a very hard working, very nice black man whose family will not recognize or have anything to do with the kids. I had a cousin married to an american indian who was raised on the reservation. The cultural differences were enormous and the marriage ended in divorce. I'm not against it on a case by case basis but they should understand there are many, many ignorant biased and mean people that they and their kids will have to deal with. I will say both cases I referred to are not people in the church.
