I could philosophize and extrapolate on her actions-- the ironies, hidden messages. I am sure there was something very poetic (maybe even beautiful) in what she thought she was doing.
But at the end of the day, she has reduced her art to fodder for the bigots and ammo for conspiracy theorists. She practiced incredibly bad judgment.
But she has generated plenty of conversation. That in and of itself is probably something she is going to consider a win for the artsy people

yeah in her world she's a winner. but she's a loser and the losses will eventually build up and smother her little kingdom-- her's and all the others who think they can say and do what ever they please to who ever, whenever they want to. One day, decent people will not be so decent and then we can conversate about wins and losses.
