Re: Can A Person Be A Smoker & Still Be Saved

I have not excused gluttony however EATING is NOT a sin overeating without control is sinful however sucking on ONE cigarette is a sin.

I was in a very nationally known, big named UPC pastor's home in Lake Charles, Louisiana a number of years ago. The man has to weigh in the neighborhood of 400 lbs. No exaggerating. I think a lot of this man, however in my presence, I watched him eat over 3 1/2 whole chickens in one evening, not to mention the beans, potato salad, desert and sweet tea. This is not an unusual event for this man. Yet, he preaches at camp meetings and conferences around the world. What, King Epley, is the difference in that LIFESTYLE and him smoking 1 cigarette? Which is worse?
