From what I have read about Bentley, he has many disturbing New Age beliefs that needed to be exposed. Bentley claimed to travel "out of body" to where he has had conversations with Abraham and Jesus and where he witnessed to a witch doctor. These out of body experiences where a person communicates with beings and deceased people have been clearly condemned in the bible.

This practice was made famous by Shirley McClaine (sp) back in the 1980's. The same New Age spirit that took her on her cosmic trips has guided Bentley! His focus on angelic beings, specifically Emma his guide, was another red flag that he represented a New Age gospel and not the true gospel of Jesus Christ. He mentioned on his website in December about Emma,
"When she came, she began to mentor, nurture and opened up a prophetic well. The people in the church began having trances and visions and the pastor began getting words of knowledge and moving in healing."

He imparts his Emma spirit on the young people who come up for a touch. He flings the evil spirits upon them while yelling, "blah, blah, blah, blah" – whatever he means by that – and culminates it with slaying them in the "spirit" with the word "BAM!" [see link for example ] Why would he scream "Bam" over people? A clue is in his own words taken from the "The Secret Place" CD of the Fresh Fire conference referenced earlier. Bentley said:
