Brother Epley, you seem content with being here. That's the difference. You know there are people who believe differently than you do, but you aren't whining about it constantly. Every now and then you go on one of your going to hell kicks, but they don't generally last very long. My point was that it appears there are some members who aren't content with being here. If they're not happy posting on AFF, then there are other forums they can go to find like minded people they can be happy with.

While everyone here says they believe Jesus name baptism is the biblically right way to do it, it is not essential that baptism be done the biblically right way to be saved. Thus it is opened up that if titles are ok, probably any way is ok, as it is not a salvation issue. And if any way is ok, since you can be saved without the biblical way, someone can be saved even if they use the BAM!!! method.

The problem, StMatt, is that you guys have been duped into thinking that the majority of this board sees it that way, when we don't. There are only a few posters who see it that way. You guys wanna condemn the whole board for the beliefs of just a few.

I don't think liberals or moderates should sit back and allow the conservatives to hi-jack and claim "ownership" of the Apostolic name.

So you fellowship with people who don't preach it exactly like you do?
|
I am referring to minor details, not major issues like television, cut hair, make-up, jewelry, painted fingernails, died hair, etc.
I have many friends that know that I believe they are going to hell. Do you believe that everybody that calls themselves apostolic is going to heaven? Are there no lines anymore?
Yes we do fellowship with those that we might have minor differences with. In fact I know of many who we fellowship with that might even hold to a stronger standard than we do. I love it, it challenges me to examine myself. We have an unfettered pulpit. Why doesn't anybody know anything about Biblical principles? Does the Bible say to not smoke a cigarette? Smoke dope? Drink a beer? No it doesn't. Buy we still preach that is is wrong because the principle of the issue is Biblical. Too many lazy people in the world today that wants everything in black & white. They don't feel the need to interpret scripture. If it is not black & white they just think it isn't a sin. WRONG.

If these are the majors, could you please list the minors?

Can't think or name them all. Probably one example would be a woman wearing her hair up or down. The dividing point is whether it is cut or not. As long as a woman does not cut her hair we can still be brethren even though we may not agree on how a womans hair should or shouldn't be fixed. Just an example.

Who appointed you AFF spokesperson?
They need to be fired.
Why don't you actively engage in some sort of ministry, and then come back and lecture the Elder.
Until then, I'd say the best thing you could do is log off for more than two hours a day.
Or is that too much to ask?
